Who we are

Duck-Art is a new on-line Pop Contemporary Art Gallery fusing together Pop Contemporary Art, Mobile Phone Downloads and Technology. We believe that there is some absolute rubbish in the force fed, media driven, corporate led marketed world (as appearing on people's mobile phones rant(!)), and some absolute genius in Pop Contemporary Art. We clash these two extremes together with a view to replacing rubbish with quality and exposing the pulp fed populace to a real alternative.

We at Duck-Art believe in Pop Contemporary Art. Not the stale stuffy art you may have glanced at when being dragged around on a school trip nor the cosy art you may encounter in a church hall in some deserted seaside resort nor even the bizarre art you may trip over and not be able to distinguish from the untidy bedroom you just left. We are talking about Art that is relevant to real people living in the real world today. A world that is full of contradictions and confusion, a world which we are all trying to make sense of. Our Art often expresses these themes or it may just look contemporary or just be downright moving and beautiful. What it says or whatever it looks like we do our best to bring you the best.

By building strong relationships with Galleries and Artists we are trying to bring to your attention images that you may have been unaware of before and may mean something to you.

Today we are showing James Cauty, Jamie Reid, Billy Childish, Sexton Ming, STOT21stCplanB, MODAL, ORCO, Flood The Valley, neverwork and Duck-Art stuff. New Artists on their way.

We are committed to bringing real and relevant Art to the World's attention (irrespective of whether it is "officially" defined as Art or Not and irrespective of whether it is "too" controversial or "not" controversial).

We are committed to questioning WHY some art is "officially" defined as Art and some Not.

We are committed to eradicating CRAP ("Cellular Ridiculousness and Pulp") from the world, starting with UK Mobile Phone Downloads.

We want to have a good time.
